How To Use Olive Oil For Hair Growth?

1. Olive Oil

Method 1:

This overnight process is used to remove sebum build up which inhibits the hair growth.
  • Warm olive oil and apply on the scalp and hair thoroughly at night time.
  • Massage it gently for a few minutes to spread the oil.
  • Wrap your hair in a damp towel or shower cap.
  • Leave it on for few hours to overnight and wash it off with shampoo.
  • Repeat regularly.


Method 2:

Consuming olive oil has many health benefits.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with a dash of lemon juice in 1 glass of water.
  • Stir it well and drink this mix daily.
  • Or use olive oil as your cooking oil or for salad dressing.
  • Or consume 1 tablespoon of olive oil daily.



2. Olive Oil With Honey And Egg White

Egg has a high protein content and is rich in iron, sulphur, phosphorus, zinc and iodine which helps to enhance new hair growth. Honey conditions your hair. This process works well for those with oily scalp.
  • Separate the egg white and beat it thoroughly.
  • Add 1 teaspoon each of olive oil and honey, mix and apply all over the air.

3. Olive Oil And Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper contains capsaicin that irritates the scalp and enhances proper blood circulation.

Method 1:

  • Place 1/2 cup of olive oil in a pan and heat it slightly, adding 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder.
  • Stir it well to avoid clumping and then turn off the heat.
  • Allow it to cool for few minutes and apply this on the scalp.
  • Massage it gently to spread the mix and leave for 4 hours to overnight.
  • Rinse it off with shampoo and repeat regularly.
  • Or mix 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder in 2 teaspoon of olive oil and apply this mix on the scalp. Leave on for a few minutes and wash off with cool water.


Method 2:

  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of cayenne pepper powder and mustard powder, 2 tablespoons each of olive oil and hot water and 1 egg yolk.

  • Rinse with shampoo and water.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

Note: You can use cayenne pepper tincture instead of cayenne pepper.

  • Crush 4 – 5 garlic cloves and add this to 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan.
  • Boil it for few minutes until the cloves turn slightly brown.

  • After one hour rinse with mild shampoo and water.

  • Mix coconut oil and olive oil in 2:1 ratio and apply on the scalp.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons each of olive oil, warm coconut oil and honey and 1 egg in a bowl.

  • Mix 3 teaspoons of olive oil and 1/2 cup of coconut milk.
